Our Sessions

We run regular one to one and group sessions throughout the year and of course you can always just drop in for a chat at anytime. You can find out a bit more about these below. If you would like to attend any upcoming events then please call 0151 645 6436 or complete our online contact form.

The kettle is always on at One Day Project and during our normal opening hours, we offer an open-door policy for drop-ins.  Drop-ins are specifically for those who are supporting some one with an alcohol and/or drug misuse issue, or potential issue.  Whether you would just like a chat and need a listening ear, some time on your own away from it all, or want to get things off your chest, please do drop in.  With thanks to both the National Lottery Community Fund and the Wirral Together Fund, we now have a separate room for you to take time out, enjoy a tea or coffee and relax.

Our one-to-one sessions are by appointment only, focussing on the best support for you in a supportive role, your wellbeing and ways to move forward.  We can assist in referrals for wider support if required. Our one-to-ones are on a rolling programme throughout the year, but booking is essential. Please complete our online contact form with any queries and to book a place.

Group sessions

Our small group sessions also take place at various times throughout the year.  Running over a 4-6 week period at a time, with meetings once a week, these sessions focus on areas such as intervention, support networks, mental and physical wellbeing, understanding addictions and in addition meeting others who are in the same situation of supporting a loved one with alcohol or drug issues.  Please keep an eye on our website for upcoming group sessions and dates.

All our sessions are held at our New Ferry, Wirral, premises. We are extremely grateful to the National Lottery Community Fund for their support and can offer all of our sessions free of charge.

“I recently discovered this lovely little shop in New Ferry.  Steve and Nicky are extremely friendly, and the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming.  There are great items hiding in every corner and something different every time we visit.  I am yet to leave empty handed, and particularly enjoy trying all the incense they stock. Best of all, the money they raise supports a really important cause.”

“One of the nicest charity shops we have ever been in, run by people who love what they do. The shop is always immaculate, and you always get the warmest welcome. Their stock is always good and very fairly priced.  All charity shops should be like this!”

“Every time I go into One Day Project I am greeted by the friendliest couple (and their little girl).  Great to chat with about anything and always with cheer and smile.  I always find something interesting in there and never come out without something.  I really admire the idea of One Day Project and wish them all the best.”
