March Newsletter

A very warm welcome to the first One Day Project Community Interest Company newsletter.

We will be keeping you updated monthly on our progress, good news stories and our support sessions and meet ups we will be running.

A big thank you to everyone who has, and continues to support us.

One Day Project Shopfront

Donations to our shop continue to come in with thanks to all you generous people across Wirral. Although due to Government guidelines our premises are temporarily closed, we will be back up and running as soon as we can, we regularly replenish our donations so please do keep popping in – you never know what you might find!

With thanks to Merseyside Police Violence Reduction Unit, we were able to run the first of our sessions ‘Building Support for Those Surrounding Substance Misuse’ .The funding received enabled us to provide support to those with concerns about people aged 25 or under with drug and alcohol issues.  Both group sessions and one to ones saw support in areas such as well being, understanding addiction, intervention techniques and further support available across Merseyside.

We are extremely grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund for now enabling us to continue and extend our sessions as well as opening them up to a wider age group.  The fantastic news of receiving funding arrived just a few weeks ago and we couldn’t be more thrilled! More details about our upcoming sessions will be announced when we re-open our premises.

Building our links across Wirral, last month saw a visit to WRAP, Wirral’s leading alternative education provider.  Taking time out of their busy day, Peter and John chatted with Nicky about the services One Day Project provides and the support WRAP has in place and continues to offer young people.  A great opportunity for us to share what we do to the wider community.

And finally, we would like to wish everyone well, in particular at this difficult time.

Should you have any questions or queries, please do drop us a line.  Please note, until further notice, this is via email or messages through our Facebook page only.
