One Day Project

We are sad to share that One Day Project is closing.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us and to all the wonderful people across Wirral and beyond who have engaged with us for support.

We wish you all the best.

Steve & Nicky

We are a not for profit Community Interest Company based in Wirral supporting the families, partners and friends of those with substance misuse issues across the Northwest.

We offer workshops, informal drop-ins, group and individual sessions, community space and a relaxation & wellbeing shop. The kettle is always on too!

Watch Louis Emerick our ambassador and star of Brookside, Last of the Summer Wine, Silent Witness, Coronation Street and many other TV shows and films as he discusses the One Day Project services that we provide to help support families, partners and friends of those with substance misuse issues.

Through personal experience and working alongside service providers across the region, we understand the issues faced by those who are trying to support a loved one to overcome drug and alcohol misuse.

We are here to support your wellbeing, mental health and the numerous factors impacted by living with, or supporting someone, with a drug or alcohol addiction.

Whether you would like to chat, attend a group, seek further support or need a space to get things off your chest, we’re here. Your wellbeing is our priority.

Steve and Nicky - Welcome Message

A warm welcome from Steve and Nicky

When we launched One Day Project in 2019, our key objective was the wellbeing of those family members, partners and friends helping someone with drug or alcohol issues and to have one location to offer our help from.

Since launching the project we have received great support from local residents, the wider community, Wirral businesses and both local and national funding bodies.

To all of you we would like to say a big Thank You!

Our Services

As well as our relaxation and wellbeing shop we also offer meeting rooms, including our newest the Gladys Heatley Room.

Relaxation and Wellbeing Shop

Relaxation & Wellbeing Shop

Our Wellbeing shop is open to all and is stocked with a range of products to promote relaxation

Gladys Heatley Room

The Gladys Heatley Room

Named in memory of our very first customer, this room can be used for various events

In the summer of 2019, the time was right to put into place something that has been close to our hearts for quite some time.  Through our own experiences, we saw a need for more help for those who are supporting people with drug and alcohol issues.

Our premises opened in December of 2019 and have continued to expand and develop to now include a relaxation & wellbeing shop and private meeting rooms where we can offer support.

National Lottery - Community Fund

With thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund we have been able to securely lease our premises for 12 months to continue and expand our work.  The Wirral Together Fund has provided us with the financial help we needed to make our community area into a private room. Both customers to our shop and service users have steadily increased since opening.

As we continue to offer support and continually fill our shop with a fabulous range of products, we welcome you to call in and see us, whether to browse or have a chat about your concerns.
